Partner Visas
Partner migration is a form of visa to obtain permanent residence for spouses or common-law partners (including same-sex couples) of Australian citizens, Australian Permanent Residents (PRs) and eligible New Zealand citizens. The fundamental requirement for an Australian Spouse Migration application is that the relationship must be established as genuine and enduring. Australian Spouse Migration is strict on the relationship, but there are no requirements on the applicant's age, qualifications, skills, English language ability, employment etc. Same-sex and cohabiting spouses have to prepare more extensive documentation requirements to convince the immigration authorities to recognise the authenticity of the relationship.
Basic Requirement of Partner Visas

Must be married (Married) or de facto (registered civil partnership or cohabitation for more than 12 months) and can be a same-sex marriage.

3
