Skilled Visas
Australia's skilled migration programmes aims to attract skilled people from around the world to contribute to the balanced and sustainable development of Australia's labour market. This migration channel is not only applicable to overseas skilled people with professional skills, but also one of the preferred ways for students studying in Australia to become permanent residents of Australia.
There are three main categories of Australian Skilled Migration Visas: 189 Independent Skilled Migration, 190 State Sponsored and 491 Remote State Sponsored. They all belong to the points system of skilled migration, theoretically speaking, the higher the score, the greater the chance of winning.
